Ways to Serve

Hospitality
FCC strives to make everyone, from first time guest to faithful members, feel welcome and valued. We have greeters who offer warmth, programs, direction and seating. Our hospitality teams serve on a rotation once every 6-7 weeks and would volunteers to arrive to the church by 9:40am.

Kids & Student Ministry (Birth - 12th)
On Sundays morning we are looking for individuals that are willing to be a lead teacher, a helper or nursery worker for our kids ages birth-5th grade. We also are looking for those who would be willing to work with our Middle School and High School students on both Sundays and Wednesdays. Volunteers in this age group will need be asked to lead a bible study. If interested in this ministry, you will have the ability to sign-up for the Sundays and Wednesdays that work best for you. All volunteers in the ministry must go through a background check and online training before serving.

Praise Team & Tech Team
Musicians - Singers - Sound Board Operator - Screen Operator - Light Board Operator
At FCC we value excellence over perfection. We're human, we're going to make mistakes and miss notes or play the wrong chord, but as long as you come prepared and ready to do the best you can to bring glory to God (excellence), then you'll fit right in.

If you're not sure about joining because you've never played with a band before, or haven't had any experience around music equipment...DO NOT let that hold you back. Everyone on the team is friendly and more than happy to guide you through all that is involved. We all were in the exact same place at one point. You're also more than welcome to just come to rehearsals and sit in to see if it's something you'd enjoy.

And if you play an instrument you don't normally see on Sundays, or have a passion for a different worship art (drama for example) that we don't usually do, don't hesitate to contact Brian Christensen of the Church Office to discuss.

Cafe

FCC hopes that we are able to create a relaxed, friendly environment for all to enjoy. On Sunday mornings one way we do this is by offering a place for people to fellowship before or after service in our cafe. To serve in this ministry you would be asked to arrive at 8:00am to prepare the coffee, tea and various breakfast goodies to be available to members and guests.

Property Committee
This committee meets once a month on the 2nd Monday at 6:30pm to discuss the needs of our buildings and property. This group gathers quotes, does small projects, clears snow and mows the grass.

Mission Committee
This committee meets once a quarter to disburse the money given by the congregation to local, regional, national and international mission organization.
